The law firm Costa Basto, Jorge Fernandes e Associados was founded in 2005 by the initiative and commitment of its partners António da Costa Basto and Jorge Fernandes. In March 2006, the recently created firm was joined by the partner Jorge Veríssimo and, consequently, in August 2006 changed its name to the current BFV – Costa Basto, Jorge Fernandes, Veríssimo e Associados, RI.

BFV was thus formed by the joint effort of three partners who decided to launch a new project after having worked together and having shared the same personal and professional values for many years.

From the outset, BFV has covered the main legal specialties and focused on a personal and ongoing contact with its clients as the best means to safeguard, analyse and solve all issues brought to their attention.

Working closely with clients does not prevent, but rather enhances, legal counselling, not only to individuals but also to national and international companies, both in non-judicial and judicial matters.
